Geek Game NightThis is a featured page

This is a follow up to the original Geek Games Night. We are having another partly because some of our speakers couldn't make it to the first one but also because a lot of people seemed to be inspired by the first night and were thinking about starting some projects in the spirit of Steve Godwin's talk.

Slides and Presentations

See the attachments to the page for the following:

  • Roland's Rubygame HTML slides
  • Steve's Computer History Preservation

What was it?

Iain Simons talking about game design
James Newman asking you to Save the Videogame
Jon Tartley on Pyglet and the game he's been working on
Roland Swingler on Rubygame
Robin Dietch on what's happening in the XNA scene

And you! Talking for five minutes about whatever you're working on, you want to try to do or something you find interesting. We're talking projects, tools, languages, algorithms whatever.

We are also trying to bring coders, artists and musicians together to collaborate on games projects. So if you are looking for collaborators or you need a weird sound effect writing come along, explain what you need and see if you can't find some help.

If you want to post ideas or requests on the thread below, feel free. We'll see what we can do. If you want to propose a topic or a talk, go right ahead.
