During the evening I answered a question saying that you can query historic revisions of documents in Couch. This answer was the right one, the map-reduce is done over the latest revisions of documents.
A more detailed explanation of dealing with historic revisions will be appearing in the CouchDb wiki but for now the brief answer is that if the data is relevant you should store it under a different key in the document (for example Surname and Maiden Name), taking advantage of the schema-less nature of the data or you should separate the historic data into another document and then link via the id of the document representing the previous information. This would then allow you to work back to the main document. For example for addresses you could store each person's address in a different document and then have an array field in the main document that holds the ids of previous addresses in historic order.

Web Unconventions wasn't recorded, it's a bit of a shame but I guess it makes it a bit more special for people who were there. Our sessions are generally recorded by Skillsmatter and it is down to them whether they want to record an event or not.
The videos are not specially identified as being LGN or not. However we do link talk videos to the pages for that talk on the wiki so if there isn't a link then that talk wasn't recorded.

The short answer is that the last couple of events have been rammed so last minute sign ups haven't been possible. In general we would like people to sign up on the Upcoming page for each event (you . However this is really to simplify food and drink orders.
If you want to come without registering at Upcoming then please create a thread on the page of the event that says you are coming.

Thanks a lot for the help and replies Guys. I did put a "Yes" before the meeting, but changed to "No" when I realized I wouldn't be able to make it.

Hi, I am currently playing with Rhodes(http://rhomobile.com/), Ruby framework to write cross platform mobile apps.
I am in the middle of setting up environments, but not so much familier with all IDE, and ANT stuff, so would be nice if anyone can offer some help. In return, I am happy to share whatever I have learned about this framework so far (not much though). Also love to discuss with mobile app developers how useful this kind of framework is.

Hello all,
Noob in da house.
I've been using Netbeans and Aptana IDE to program in Rails but I was wondering what other alternatives there are. Netbeans is pretty slick with plugins and integration with other languages but what I would like are better code hints and some sort of site management. I'm having problems with Aptana working like it should in Vista.
Any suggestions?

What I have done in the mean time is setup my Rails site in Dreamweaver for the site management and edit in NetBeans 6. I might try out Ruby in Steel Personal Edition a plugin for Visual Studio. I'm also trying to use less IDEs so I can specialize a bit.
Is that a good idea?
